Melissa has been working as a Physical Therapist for 14 years. Before this, she worked as a Physical Therapist Assistant for six years. Melissa graduated from Mount Aloysius College with an associate's degree in Physical Therapy in 2002. She graduated in 2008 from Slippery Rock University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Melissa began her PT career at Encompass (formerly known as HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital) in Altoona, Pa, where she worked for several years in both inpatient and outpatient departments; treating patients who had sustained traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, among other neurological disorders such as Guillain Barre, ALS, and strokes.

In 2010 she made my transition to the outpatient orthopedic setting. Melissa has developed unique relationships in this community and is honored to have the opportunity to help bring others back to an independent lifestyle following injury and surgery. She has a particular interest in the treatment of the spine, core stabilization, SI joint dysfunction, and the treatment of patients with chronic neck pain and tension headaches.

In her spare time, she enjoys bike riding, reading, gardening, and spending time at camp with my husband, Jeff.

Mellisa is excited to start this new journey with Radius Physical Therapy and with all the people God will put in her path. She is so thankful for this opportunity to grow as a therapist and as a person, expand her knowledge base, and better serve her community.
